M&A Bonanza: Loffler and Fisher’s Join Forces, DEX Imaging and Kelley Create Swing Deals, Systel Integrates

James Loffler, Loffler Companies

The office technology dealer space beat Major League Baseball to the punch with the summer’s first blockbuster acquisition. Loffler Companies, one of the top 20 revenue earners at $136 million, as rated by ENX Magazine, came to terms on a deal to acquire Fisher’s Technology, a $50 million dealer.

Meanwhile, DEX Imaging tapped into the northeast to add New England Copy Specialists. Kelley Create obtained a 20-year-old dealership in Signa Digital Solutions, while Systel Business Equipment was able to integrate the customer relationships of Carolina Typewriter Company. We’ll begin with the Loffler-Fisher’s union.

Loffler Companies on Thursday announced the acquisition of Fisher’s Technology, an office technology company serving businesses across Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Washington since 1936. Fisher’s will continue to operate under its own name and brand.

All Fisher’s customer contracts, pricing, service agreements, and support contacts remain in effect with no changes. Ty Grigsby, president of Fisher’s Technology, will continue in his role as market president, overseeing all of Fisher’s operations. Grigsby will also join the Loffler executive team, bringing Fisher’s direct representation to the strategic direction of the combined organization.

“This partnership is especially meaningful because Fisher’s and Loffler have built a trusted friendship over more than 20 years. Both organizations have built their success by investing in their people, helping customers achieve their goals, and making a positive impact in the communities they serve. We are far more alike than we are different. This is a natural fit,” said James Loffler, president and CEO, Loffler Companies.

Fisher’s Technology was founded in 1936 and has been recognized as a Best Place to Work in Idaho for 18 years. The two companies offer nearly identical service portfolios including office equipment, managed IT and cybersecurity, managed print, unified communications, document automation, and physical security. They serve separate geographies with no market overlap. Combined, the two organizations serve businesses across ten states from Wisconsin to Washington.

As a privately held, family-owned business, Loffler has grown intentionally and strategically since Jim Loffler founded the company in 1986, investing continuously in innovative technology, developing exceptional people, and building a culture driven by a passion to deliver an outstanding experience for every customer. That commitment to people, culture, and customer experience has defined every decision Loffler has made for 40 years. The acquisition of Fisher’s Technology reflects that same approach.

Tyler Grigsby, Fisher’s Technology

“Fisher’s has built something truly special through our incredible people, loyal customers, and deeply held culture of service. Our customers will continue to be supported by the same trusted team and commitment they have always counted on, now with even greater resources, expertise, and support through our partnership with Loffler,” Grigsby said.

The acquisition follows Loffler’s announcement earlier this month of a strengthened executive leadership team and represents the company’s most significant geographic expansion in its nearly 40-year history. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Chris Taylor, Fisher’s Technology

“After building Fisher’s for decades, it was incredibly important to find a partner who values our people, our customers, and our culture as much as we do. With Ty’s continued leadership and Loffler’s shared values, this merger creates exciting opportunities for our employees and brings even more capability and value to the customers and communities we collectively serve,” said Chris Taylor, co-owner and CEO, Fisher’s Technology.

In acquiring New England Copy Specialists (NECS), DEX Imaging was able to annex the largest and longest-established, privately-owned office technology dealer in New England. DEX is the nation’s largest independent dealer of document imaging technology, managed print and managed IT services.

Dan Doyle Jr., DEX Imaging

Founded in 1965 and headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts, NECS has seven locations throughout the New England region and is known for its long-standing customer relationships, superior service support, and strong ties not only to its equipment manufacturers, such as Canon, HP and Katun, but also to the business community at large.

Dan Doyle Jr., DEX Imaging’s CEO, said, “For over 60 years, NECS has provided exceptional customer service to the New England business community, making this acquisition the very best platform for DEX Imaging’s expansion into the Northeast.”

Systel Integrates Carolina Typewriter

Two family-owned companies with a shared commitment to customer service, their employees, and community involvement have come together to continue serving businesses throughout Florence, South Carolina and the Pee Dee region.

Systel Business Equipment is proud to celebrate the successful integration of Carolina Typewriter Company (CTC) customer relationships into the Systel organization, building on more than a century of combined experience serving businesses across the Carolinas.

Systel completed the acquisition of CTC in late 2025 and has since focused on preserving the personal relationships and local service that defined Carolina Typewriter Company for generations. This transition has been strengthened by the continued involvement of former President Tommy Kelly and longtime employee Phanessa Sansbury, both of whom have helped maintain continuity for customers throughout the process.

Carolina Typewriter Company was built on relationships and taking care of customers. “When it came time to consider the future of the business, finding the right partner was important to me and my family. Systel shares many of the same values that have guided our company for decades, and I felt confident they would continue providing the level of service and support our customers deserve,” Kelly said.

CTC customers continue to receive the local support they have relied upon for years while gaining access to Systel’s expanded resources, broader technology portfolio, enhanced service capabilities, and a full suite of business solutions including office technology, production print, managed IT services, unified communications, document management, and workflow automation.

Janene Aul, Systel Business Equipment

“One of the things that stood out to us about CTC was its commitment to customer service. That focus aligns closely with Systel’s values and made it a natural fit. We are proud to continue what CTC has built and remain focused on delivering the responsive service, local support, and business technology solutions that customers expect,” said Janene Aul, CEO of Systel Business Equipment.

The acquisition further strengthens Systel’s commitment to the Florence market and the broader South Carolina business community. By investing in local relationships, local talent, and customer service excellence, Systel remains focused on helping organizations operate more efficiently while building lasting partnerships for the future.
