DEX Imaging Bolsters Lone Star Holdings Via SOS Acquisition

DEX Imaging has made a significant addition in the Lone Star State with the acquisition of Southwest Office Systems (SOS), according to several sources.

Buddy Puente, SOS

Located in Euless, Texas, near the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, SOS was founded by Victor Puente in 1964 as a typewriter repair company, and he was joined in 1972 by his sons, Victor Jr. (Buddy) and Vince. SOS is a multi-line dealer carrying Sharp, Epson and Formax products.

Vince Puente, SOS

A repeat ENX Magazine-recognized Elite Dealer and a Sharp Hyakuman Kai honoree, SOS posted sales in the $10 million to $20 million range in its most recent fiscal year.

It marks the fourth Texas operation for Tampa, Florida-based DEX Imaging, which has branches in Corpus Christi, Dallas and Arlington.

Neither DEX Imaging nor SOS immediately responded to a request for comment.
