Doug Albregts Steps Down as CEO of Marco

Doug Albregts

After six years as CEO of Marco Technologies, one of the largest dealerships in the nation, Doug Albregts announced via LinkedIn that his tenure ended Aug. 29. He will be joining the dealership’s board of directors.

Marco has not officially named his replacement. The dealer’s media relations firm did not immediately respond to an email seeking confirmation.

In his LinkedIn announcement, Albregts wrote, “As I transition into the role of Chairman of the Board, I want to express my deepest appreciation to the exceptional Marco team. Your unwavering dedication has truly defined our workplace, shaping it into something remarkable. This isn’t farewell; rather, it signals the beginning of another exciting adventure ahead.”

Albregts joined Marco as president in October of 2019, and later became CEO when Jeff Gau retired. Previously, he spent seven years as the CEO of Sharp, and had stints with Samsung, NEC Display and Golden Books. He also served as the group CEO for Scientific Games.
