Nominations Open for 2024 ENX Magazine Difference Makers Recognition Program

We live in a results-oriented world, which has been a reality for many, many moons. It’s particularly true in business, as the ways and means of accomplishing a task pales in comparison to the result; unless that result is resoundingly negative, little attention is paid to how it’s accomplished.

Whoever first said, “Don’t tell me about the labor pain, just show me the baby” perfectly encapsulated the attitude toward the journey to accomplishing a task, project or any flavor of desired outcome. Details matter little and no one needs a visual detailing how the sausage gets made. That is one messy idiom, anyway.

Truth is, the many unheralded contributors who play a role in making the office technology dealer universe the rousing business success that it is often come home at night with their hands stained by tedious tasks, thankless research, PowerPoint fatigue and all manner of collaboration, planning and scheduling. And once a year, they stand shoulder to shoulder with CEOs, presidents, VPs and team directors as part of the ENX Magazine Difference Maker recognition program.

Nominate a 2024 Difference Maker today!

Where else can someone in accounts payable receive the same recognition as a vice president of sales? That’s the beauty of Difference Makers: when it comes to saluting hard work and contributions, everyone is on equal footing. While there’s no denying the impact a CEO can have in shaping the future of his/her company, no one can dispute the importance of a quality service technician, who makes face-to-face contact with clients on a daily basis and helps form the impression an end-user may have about their vendor partners.

Best of all, you are the decision-maker for Difference Makers. Whether these candidates occupy a corner office or share a department cubicle with three other people, you have the power to bring light to the exploits of these individuals. One doesn’t need to be the face of an organization to play a large role in ensuring its success.

All of the nominees—and we generally honor 50-60 people each year—have a fascinating story to tell. Some offer a tinge of sadness, others a boost of inspiration, and others a laugh or smile. The common denominator is the path they have taken has benefited their organizations in sometimes subtle but often wonderful ways. The task falls upon you to honor them, and it will only take 10-15 minutes of your time, a small ask to trumpet your favorite MVP to the rest of the industry.

Honorees will be recognized with a profile in the May issue of ENX Magazine. The deadline for nomination submissions is March 11. There are only two rules: you cannot nominate yourself, and we can’t accept candidates who were honored the previous year. You can check out last year’s Difference Makers here.

Click here for the nomination form, which includes information and examples regarding submissions. Again, you have until March 11 to submit your nominations.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you begin filling out the nomination form and want to continue it at a later time, click “save and continue later.” Please note the link that is then displayed, as you will need it to access the form in the future. You can also email yourself the link, which expires in 24 hours, through the “send link” option.

Don’t wait, nominate a candidate today! Feel free to contact Publisher Susan Neimes or yours truly if you have any questions. Also, we thank you in advance for helping to shed light on the men and women who have made our industry a model for all business landscapes.
