Play Ball: Pulse Technology Installs Video Wall at Wintrust Field

The new video wall at Wintrust Field

Pulse Technology, a technology company serving the IT, managed print services and other needs of businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond, just helped give their hometown baseball team, the Schaumburg Boomers, a significant upgrade with the installation of a 23’ tall by 45’ wide video wall at the Schaumburg Boomers ballpark.

The Schaumburg Boomers are a professional baseball team that began play in the independent Frontier League in 2012. The Boomers recently revealed their new video wall, which is two and a half times the size of the previous screen.

The video board is the third major improvement funded by the organization over the last two years, following a full playing surface replacement in 2022 and suite-level upgrades over 2021-2022.

Vince Miceli, vice president of technology at Pulse Technology, said, “This video wall is a great addition to the Schaumburg Boomers ballpark. The high-brightness digital signage displays allow for great clarity in reporting scores, upcoming events, and high visibility messaging for the club’s sponsors.”

He added, “Pulse Technology is very pleased to have been able to work with the Schaumburg Boomers on this project. We are big fans of the team and look forward to seeing the games at the park with their new video display.”

Video displays have increasingly become an important Pulse Technology offering for both indoor use and outdoor. The technology delivers high-brightness digital signage displays to ensure that enormous images can be displayed with no loss of fine detail, and clear image brightness is sustained regardless of lighting, either natural or artificial.

Pulse has partnered with Watchfire to bring its clients the very latest in state-of-the-art technology for video walls and digital signs to deliver messages with impact.

The improvements made by the Boomers organization complement the Village of Schaumburg’s capital improvement efforts over the same time frame which have included a new sound system, painting, drink rails, and other facility upgrades.
