Formax Introduces Innovative Touchscreen for Tabletop Folder

Dover, NH (March 28, 2018) — Formax introduces the new FD 346 Tabletop Document Folder, replacing the FD 342, with an innovative full-color touchscreen control panel.

The FD 346 is one of the first manual setting folders in the industry to feature a touchscreen. The graphic interface uses internationally-recognized symbols in place of text, making it easy for anyone to use. The FD 346 processes up to 15,500 sheets per hour, in sizes up to 12” W x 18” L. Six popular folds are clearly marked on the rugged metal fold plates for quick and easy set-up and operation, plus fine-tuning knobs provide for precise adjustments. The “1X” button allows operators to fold a single sheet and check the fold accuracy before processing an entire job.

For easy batch processing, the FD 346 features the Formax AutoBatch program. This allows users to input a specific number of sets, number of sheets per set, and the delay between sets.

Standard features include adjustable outfeed wheels, easy-to-remove feed tires, and a patented telescoping conveyor system that holds up to 500 folded sheets. The FD 346 also includes a cross folding guide, which provides the option to process a folded sheet in a second pass at a 90 degree angle.

An optional multi-sheet feeder has the capacity to fold up to 4 stapled or unstapled sheets at the same time.

The FD 346 is proudly made in the USA, and with its intuitive and innovative touchscreen, it’s ideal for small businesses, schools, and offices looking for affordable automation and ease of use.
