Between the Lines: MPS Certification and Secrets of the Color Aftermarket

Scott Cullen

I started writing this on Monday morning while recovering from a four-day music conference in the Catskills that found me up until the wee hours of the morning listening to music. (Some of you may remember that one of my hobbies is presenting concerts 9 times a year.)  It takes a couple of days to recover from those kinds of hours for sure. Unfortunately, there’s no rest for the weary as I have another issue of The Week in Imaging to crank out.

What’s new and interesting this week is a new MPS Trustmark certification courtesy of CompTIA. A week and a half ago I spoke with Corey Smith of CompTIA and Ian Berger of Parts Now! about that Trustmark program. You can read more about it below and discover if this is something that will make a difference for your organization as you seek to grow your MPS business and differentiate yourself from competitors. Also this week you’ll find another article from Dr. David Cameron on the aftermarket color toner opportunity and how improved quality is raising the bar and making aftermarket color toner products more acceptable. But that’s not all, Art Post weighs in on how to keep your top sales reps in the fold.

Finally, I continue to feature Elite Dealer profiles that have only been posted on The Week in Imaging Website up until now. If you missed them, here’s a great opportunity to catch up.

New content this week includes:

  • CompTIA’s MPS Trustmark
  • David Cameron Color Codes the Color Aftermarket
  • Art Post’s Tips for Keeping Your Top Sales Producers
  • ASI Business Solutions Elite Dealer Profile
  • Budget Document Technology Elite Dealer Profile
  • What’s Hot & What’s Not
  • November News Bytes
