UBEO Business Services Names New Executive

Austin, TX (June 17, 2019) — UBEO Business Services—a premier provider of printer, copier and document management solutions—has brought a 35-year industry veteran from Pennsylvania to UBEO’s San Antonio office as senior vice president of aftermarket field services as part of a push for executive recruitment amidst a national expansion. Brian Murphy will work with senior management to drive growth and facilitate operational and technical efficiencies as UBEO continues its aggressive expansion across the country.

“We’re excited to welcome Brian to the UBEO team,” Jim Sheffield, president and CEO at UBEO, said. “Given his broad-based experience in managing superior customer service organizations and a proven track record of building revenue and profitability, we know he’ll be invaluable to our team as we move into the next phase of our national strategy.”

Most recently, Murphy served as vice president of field services for Ricoh USA, an international imaging and electronics company whose U.S. headquarters are in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Prior to his tenure at Ricoh, he was vice president of services for IKON Office Solutions, also in Malvern.

“I’m thrilled to join the UBEO team in what I see is a natural fit,” Murphy said. “My philosophy aligns with UBEO, which is experiencing significant growth. I’m excited to come aboard a company that has so quickly become an industry leader.”

Murphy’s experience includes developing business strategy and delivery of on-site support, related to products, solutions and on-site services. In his previous roles, he has led organizations as large as 16,000 employees and 2 billion in revenue. In addition to his field operational background, he has experience leading support functions for customer call centers, technician dispatch, customer help desks, technical engineering support and technical training, as well as project management.

UBEO, founded in 2004, continues to position itself for additional growth. Murphy joined the company less than four months after UBEO announced two acquisitions in Texas (PrintRX, LLC in San Antonio and Braswell Office Systems, Inc. in Corpus Christi). UBEO merged with Sentinel Capital Partners in April 2018 and seven months later acquired Ray Morgan Company, a regional leader in California. Co-headquartered in Austin and San Antonio, UBEO plans to broaden its staff, adding executives, as well as hundreds of open sales positions.
