Fraser Advanced Information Systems is Leading the First-Ever 3D Printing Education and Demonstration Forum Specifically Geared for the Pharma and Biopharma Industries

NEW YORK, NY; February 19, 2015 – International Pharmaceutical Expo (INTERPHEX), the premier pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing event dedicated to innovation, technology and knowledge, and sponsored by the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA), today announced the first-ever Fraser Advanced Information Systems 3D Printing Pavilion at INTERPHEX 2015, April 21-23 at the Javits Center, New York, New York.

The goal of the inaugural Fraser 3D Printing Pavilion is to introduce INTERPHEX attendees to 3D printing equipment, materials and applications that leverage this emerging business model for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.

“The Fraser 3D Print Pavilion is a perfect example of INTERPHEX’s commitment to bringing cutting edge technologies to the pharma and biopharma industries that we serve,” said Ed Several, Senior Vice President and General Manager, INTERPHEX. “We are delighted to join with Fraser as they share their extensive knowledge and experience in seven different 3D printing technologies that are ideal for professional, lab and production environments. This effort brings together 3D and bio printing thought leaders to share their insights and expertise with key decision makers and engineering professionals regarding the promise of 3D printing in pharma as well as the potential pitfalls.”

“INTERPHEX is the perfect platform to feature 3D printing, and we are delighted to share our knowledge of its capabilities at the Pavilion,” said William A. Fraser, President, Fraser Advanced Information Systems. “The Pavilion will be an interactive space where attendees can view new technologies like bioprinting and experience one-on-one conversations with experts about R&D, prototyping and production techniques. Fraser is leveraging this unique position to bring together thought leaders in the 3D and bio printing arenas in one place to demonstrate these emerging technologies to the pharma and biopharma industries.”

The Pavilion will feature speakers and exhibitors educating the international pharma and biopharma industries about current 3D printing capabilities and applications for improving drug development, commercialization and processing, as well as highlighting emerging 3D printing business trends, regulation and compliance hurdles. In addition to a full slate of speakers on the 3D Printing Pavilion Stage, the Pavilion will also offer Meet the Expert sessions, 3D printing demonstrations, Lunch and Learn events and an information kiosk.

The speaking forum will be focused on three main areas of this disruptive technology: business trends, technical applications and regulatory and compliance. Slated speakers from leading institutions and companies, such as Nextline, Biobots and the University of Iowa, will discuss utilizing 3D printing for micro fluidics, bio-compatible materials, drug delivery systems, supply chain, rapid prototyping, drug and medical modeling and inspection. Speakers and agenda are coming soon.
