Growth is great and nowhere is that better illustrated than what’s going on with Impact Networking in Waukegan, IL.

Last Wednesday, August 6, the company broke ground on the future home of its new Mettawa, Illinois-based corporate headquarters. The event was also an acknowledgement and celebration of the dealership’s 180 employees, its business partners, and members of the community who continue to support what is by all accounts a model of a successful office technology dealership. Participants were treated to a barbeque before the groundbreaking ceremony, followed by music and socializing.

The new headquarters is located across the street from the Impact Distribution Center in Mettawa just off the Tri-State tollway in Mettawa/Lake Forest.

Impact has come a long way since its founding in 1999 by CEO Frank Cucco and his partners. During this 15-year period, Impact has grown from one to seven Midwest locations. With the groundbreaking it’s highly likely that more growth is on the horizon.

“A new flagship headquarters is critical to support the vision for Impact in coming years,” observed Cucco. “We have an aggressive plan for growth, and we need the support that this new state-of-the-art building will provide. More space, and a greater presence, is critical to achieving our goal of becoming a $100 million company by 2017. We continue to grow at a 27 percent rate year-over-year, and that includes adding more manpower.”

Let the groundbreaking begin!

Let the groundbreaking begin!

Impact purchased the lot in 2007, and had been planning this move for more than nine years. However, because of unforeseen economic conditions, plans to construct the new facility were placed on hold.

“This shows perseverance and resilience of our staff, to overcome challenges, and reach a goal that we envisioned from the beginning,” added Cucco.

A key driver of Impact’s long-term success has been its work culture and its employees. The company has been awarded several Best Places to Work Awards on the local and national level and.  The new headquarters will provide a modern work environment that will allow its employees to prosper and grow.

“This facility will meet the needs of our customers, employees and business partners long into the future,” says Cucco.  “This new building will be a better representation of our company and our successes. It will be a better environment than the crowded offices of our current headquarters and provide an inspiring environment for our employees, complete with the tools to be productive and successful. There will be a state-of-the-art showroom for our equipment, upgraded meeting spaces and additional offices for employees.”

The new building also signifies Impact’s past accomplishments as well as its vision for the future.

“This space will only be half-filled, with room for double the amount of employees,” reports Cucco. “It will serve as a constant reminder of the vision for growth of this company. We believe this facility will propel us into the future and help us become the most creative and innovative company in our industry, provide a positive work environment for employees, and encourage a fun and product culture.”

The new two-story, 30,000 square feet office building is expected to be completed in March 2015.
