Between the Lines: Let’s Get This New Year Started

start buttonWelcome to the first ENX/The Week in Imaging newsletter and the first posts for the new year.  Wow, 2015, how the heck did we get here so soon?

What’s loud and clear about being here today is that we’re living in an era of acronyms—MNS, MPS, ECM, SAP, and the acronym beat goes on and on. And with every new acronym, the education process begins anew otherwise some of us would be staring glassy eyed when someone brings up one of these new acronyms in conversation assuming we know exactly what they mean. Education, yes, that’s become the norm a technology business like ours and will be an ongoing initiative and challenge in all document imaging related organizations in 2015.

Speaking of challenges, last year we asked our Elite Dealers to identify the biggest challenges facing their dealerships. We’ll be presenting many of those challenges with you throughout the month of January.

Many of us have made a New Year’s resolution or two and some of us may have broken one or two of them already. Not me. That’s because I didn’t make any this year. Plenty of dealers have also made resolutions and some of them have been kind enough to share those with us this week, resolutions that I doubt they’ll be breakinig. You’ll also find more dealer’s New Year’s resolutions in my Between the Lines column in the January issue of ENX.

Equally interesting this week is “The Year in Preview” a multi-part series where we ask the major players in the document imaging industry what’s new for 2015 that will have their dealer customers or members excited. I think you’ll find that series a worthwhile and speedy read.

Okay, enough of this, let’s get this new year started.

Thanks for reading.
