ROCKLAND and NORWELL, MA, SEPTEMBER 30, 2014 – Ray Belanger, CEO of Bay Copy (www.baycopy.com), recently accepted the 2014 Imagemakers Club Award from Muratec America.
Bay Copy was one of a handful of Muratec America dealers across the United States named as top performers. Imagemakers is an annual promotion open to Muratec dealers, with winners selected based on percentage of quota attained. Awards are presented during the Imagemakers incentive trip, which this year took place at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, just outside of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Punta Mita is described locally as a picturesque fishing village nestled on Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, and as “an oasis of white-sand beaches and turquoise waters that boasts some of the best snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, surfing and golf in the world.”
And, it could also be noted, Punta Mita is sometimes host to a handful of Muratec America’s top dealers.
Muratec began in 1935 in Japan under the name Murata Machinery, LTD. The firm began distributing facsimile machines in Japan in 1972 and then began manufacturing them several years later. In 1985, they opened corporate headquarters in Texas and began selling under the Murata name. In 1992 MML and Murata changed their names to Muratec. The firm has won a number of honors throughout its history. Over the years, Muratec officials have visited Bay Copy at its Rockland, MA headquarters to discuss sales and marketing strategies.
