Sept. 2014 –Compass Sales Solutions, a provider of sales opportunity software, has announced that, with the addition of Jason Trautwein and Cody Young to the Development team, they now have six full-time developers enhancing and building their core suite of products.

The Compass Development Team continuously works to streamline, enhance and create new products and features for our Sherpa and ezMPS products. There are so many updates, new capabilities and modules that they build that Compass releases updates to its customer base every single quarter with a list of enhancements.

GE Capital Launches Automated Meter Reading for Office Imaging Dealers

Sept. 15, 2014 — GE Capital’s Office Imaging (OI) business has announced that it will provide OI dealers who use the e-automate or OMD systems with the ability to automatically submit customers’ meter readings and receive customer payment information with no manual intervention. The goal of the integration is to help OI dealers save time and money.

Both e-automate and OMD are automated business management software systems designed for the OI industry. They are developed by Digital Gateway and OMD Corporation, both part of the ECi Software Solutions family of companies.

“As a result of this integration, we hope to enable faster payment recognition for dealers,” said Glen Clark, vice president and general manager of GE Capital’s OI business. “This new process enables dealers to post cash payments received from GE Capital directly to their operating systems and eliminates most of the current steps needed to process meter files.”

Toshiba Named Official Office Equipment and Service Provider to Carolina Panthers

Sept. 16, 2014Toshiba America Business Solutions has announced that it is the official office equipment and service provider to the Carolina Panthers. The professional football team is using Toshiba’s e-STUDIOmultifunction products throughout the team’s Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. and its Spartanburg, S.C. training camp facility at Wofford College.

The MPS provider and business content management company’s color MFPs produce all of the Panthers’ playbooks as well as its depth charts and individual game plans throughout the team’s 16-game regular season and four-game pre-season schedule. Toshiba’s products also scan and transfer playbooks to players’ and coaches’ tablets thus allowing the Panthers to prepare for games via their mobile devices.

e-STUDIO multifunction products may additionally be found in every department at the team’s Bank of America Stadium offices. Aside from printing game preparation materials and even player contracts, Toshiba’s print fleet fulfills a comprehensive array of content management needs for the Panthers’ administrative employees.

Digital Gateway to Integrate e‐automate Software with Etactics

Sept. 16, 2014—Digital Gateway, Inc., a subsidiary of ECi Software Solutions, has announced that it will integrate its e‐automate ERP software with Etactics to provide additional invoice and statement solutions to Digital Gateway’s 1,400+ e‐ customers. Etactics, Inc. is a business services company committed to providing innovative, Web‐based solutions that improve clients’ cash management and customer relationships.

This new relationship between Digital Gateway and Etactics will provide dealers with an additional solution when creating and delivering invoices and statements. Dealers will have the option of providing Etactics with invoice data that will allow them to re‐engineer and deliver invoices or statements to their end users in an automated manner.

Through this integration, e‐automate dealers will also be given the opportunity to automate the invoice delivery process. After re‐engineering the invoice or statement, business rules will be employed to automate the delivery of the printed document using one of their four delivery methods—USPS, fax server, electronic presentment or a mobile device. Getting a well‐formatted invoice in the hands of the end user quickly will have a positive impact on managing aging receivables and allow dealers to better manage cash.

ESP/SurgeX Launches IP Power Diagnostic Tool

EFI Expands its European Print and Packaging MIS/ERP Footprint by Acquiring DiMS!

Sept. 15, 2014 — EFI has announced that it has acquired substantially all the assets of DiMS! organizing print, a developer of comprehensive MIS/ERP systems for print and packaging companies. Based in Lichtenvoorde, The Netherlands, and founded in 1986, DiMS! offers multi-language, seamlessly integrated MIS/ERP workflow products.

While financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, it is not expected to be material to EFI’s Q3 or full year 2014 results. DiMS! employees have joined EFI’s Productivity Software MIS/ERP group.    EFI has assumed support operations for DiMS! customers. DiMS! technology also will be integrated with EFI Fiery digital front end technologies for automated digital print production. EFI will discuss DiMS! products later this month at its booth 1902 at the Graph Expo tradeshow, September 28-October 1 in Chicago. Conference Dates Announced for DocuWorld 2015 to be held in Orlando in May 

Sept. 15, 2014 – DocuWare Corporation has announced site selection for its annual conference, DocuWorld. The company’s partners and industry solution experts will convene in Orlando, May 19-21, 2015 at the Caribe Royal.

Continuing the recent trend, educational sessions for its partners will be the main focus of DocuWare’s yearly meeting. Expanded blocks of classroom recertification will revolve around the latest updates to its document management software. A pre-event Best Practices Workshop, being held May 18th, is open to all its authorized resellers.
