Hard though it may be to believe, the Executive Connection Summit (ECS) is right around the corner. Approximately 300 attendees from all walks of the office technology universe will converge on the Scottsdale Resort and Spa from Feb. 8-11 in the sunny Arizona town.
There’s but one question: Are you going? OK, so technically there’s two, because if you answered “no” to the first query, the follow-up is: Why miss it? We won’t brow-beat you; after all, you may have tickets to the Super Bowl. Or your wife/daughter/daughter-in-law is about to have a baby. But if you don’t have a valid excuse for sitting out ECS, then perhaps you need a little more convincing.
ECS is the brainchild of Mike Stramaglio and Hiro Ueda, longtime industry professionals, consultants and innovators. The slate of topics spearheading this annual event is unimpeachable; presentations and panels will highlight many (if not all) of the biggest talking points confronting the industry. And the current attendee list is a who’s who of the office technology world—truly a red-carpet event including all of your favorite personalities and industry amigos.
Here’s an hors d’oeuvres plate of content you can expect to see in Arizona:
Panels will touch on ERP and how it can transform operational efficiency, data visibility and scalability for dealers. An OEM panel will feature several of the biggest personalities in the manufacturer realm, discussing trends and channel strategy, along with what’s on the horizon for dealer and manufacturer collaboration.
Compelling topical presentations will be offered on AI and data analytics, courtesy of Pei-Yu Chen, a chair and professor at Arizona State University. Once again, Sean Brehm—CEO of CrowdPoint Technologies—will address the technical but exhilarating subject of quantum computing.
Among the keynote addresses will be Jennie Fisher, group president of office technology for GreatAmerica Financial Services. The Breakaway Team, a think tank comprised of next-generation leaders and innovators—and a subset within The Consortium—will offer their take on the future of the industry and the drivers that will shape its future.
As usual, the ECS Charity Golf Classic will cap off the event Feb. 11 at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club. An executive golf package is available, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch and dinner, drink credits, prizes and an awards ceremony. Proceeds benefit City of Hope, one of the nation’s leading cancer centers.
