15 More of Our 2014 Elite Dealer’s Biggest Wins

how to succeed2It’s been an excellent year for many office technology dealers, including our 2014 Elite Dealers. Those dealers enjoyed some big wins and they shared those with us in their Elite Dealer nomination forms. We’ve been highlighting those big wins throughout the month of December, providing our readers with a snapshot of the sales that have made a big difference in their peers’ dealerships during the past year. Here’s another 15. The final 15 will run next week.

“Atlantic Healthcare System of New Jersey added a significant number of devices to our unique Managed Print Services program and has added a significant name in healthcare to our growing list of carriage trade clients. Renewals with companies, including Interpublic Group, Eisner Amper, Lufthansa, Hofstra University, and Patterson Belknap reassure us that our loyal client base understand and appreciate the value that we provide.” LDI Color Toolbox, Jericho, NY

We just completed a 99 machine deal with a government agency.  We have also had two other deals that were 30 – 40 machines each.” Offix, Gainesville,VA

“A large MYPC (Managing Your Printing Costs) sale. The client had about 30 MFPs and roughly 150 desktop printers. We introduced a different concept to the client that included our Complete Fleet Management program. The resulting sale placed approximately 250 color and monochrome MFPs and printers into the environment to manage in excess of 7-million pages annually. At the end of the first year of our roll-out and implementation completion, we were successful in assisting the client’s green initiative and page reductions by reducing output by 16 percent or 1.2-million pages. This agreement covers about 12 facilities, roughly 15 departments, and over 3,100 users.” U.S. Business Systems, Elkhart, IN

“The Minnesota Twins,” Coordinated Business Systems, Ltd., Burnsville, MN

“The Janesville School District. We have been very successful in the education market overall.” Rhyme, Portage, WI

“This past year Virginia Business Systems (VBS) upgraded a large school district with over 100 MFP’s.  Despite not being the lowest cost provider in this extremely competitive environment, our exceptional service history and customer service helped secure the business. The customized solution utilizing Print Audit, our First Pass Help Desk and strategic dispatching of loaner equipment was able to guarantee uptime for their entire fleet.

“Another big win occurred in a fulfillment center where we displaced two competitive production devices with three Konica Minolta bizhubPro 1250’s and fiery Central front end. Working closely with the client, fiery and Konica Minolta, VBS was able to customize a solution to increase productivity, streamline processes and provide redundancy for a more effective solution at a lower cost than the alternative solution.  Our ability to choose from best of breed engines, solutions and front ends allows us to address the needs of our clients. We are extremely proud of the team effort by all of our employees to be selected by these clients.” Edwards Business Systems/Virginia Business Systems, Bethlehem, PA

“A major school system with more than 675 networked multifunctional products, generating more than $3-million in hardware revenue,” Centric Business Systems, Owing Mills, MD

“We expanded our relationship with a major area healthcare network.  This resulted in Bay Copy now managing all of the organization’s output devices, including copiers, printers, MFPs, and Copy Centers.  This consolidated all operations across multiple locations to one imaging vendor.  As part of the expanded relationship over 400 devices were updated.” Bay Copy, Rockland, MA

“We upgraded a long-term client into a comprehensive MPS program. The large healthcare provider is on a 60-month contract that should generate over $3-million in total revenue.” Word Processing Services, Inc., Hagerstown, MD

“Without identifying what vertical market due to some unique capabilities and marketing strategies, it was capturing several A3 color MFP’s in three large corporations. This segment has produced demanding, but profitable growth for our organization and appears to be something that will remain for quite some time in the future.” 4theOffice, Pittstown, MA

“Gaining back a large client from a competitor who used lowball predatory pricing three years ago to steal them away. We had this account for 15 consecutive years. This competitor failed them with their levels of service and support and the client came back to EOS, newly appreciating our overall value versus just offering low price.” Electronic Office Systems, Fairfield, NJ

“Replacing a national manufacturer and completing a 450-unit install across 48 states.” Image Matters, Knoxville, TN

“This July and August, Systel secured the top three most prestigious commands on Fort Bragg—Forscom Headquarters, 82nd Airborne Division, and 18th Airborne Core. After four rounds of solicitations over the past two years, Systel was awarded the solicitations for approximately 1,000 new MFDs for the next five years. The process to secure these solicitations was extremely competitive as Systel contended against five other participants. “This has been a major undertaking for Systel and has even initiated the utilization of space at Systel’s new distribution center where technicians have been working nights and weekends to set up the machines and installing 25 new fully operational MFDs per business day and extracting roughly 25 per day. Systel has the capacity to do more, but are following the pace set by the government. “A collective effort was put forth with the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) to ensure the network infrastructure was in place at all locations prior to Systel landing on site with equipment. In 2009, Systel started working at Fort Bragg with 537 MFD placements. Since then, Systel has grown the account up to roughly 2,000 units.” Systel Business Equipment, Fayetteville, NC

“We won a large local college which is approximately $66,000 a year on toner alone. We are looking at an additional revenue opportunity of large format and office supplies which will put us at $225,000 a year on this specific account when their fiscal budget is approved.” American Ink Solutions, Inc., Westlake Village, CA

“Our biggest sale/win was helping some colleges and municipalities by offering applications and solutions to increase work flow efficiency.” EGP, Inc., Orlando, FL
