Systel Business Equipment Acquires Baker Office Solutions

Fayetteville, NC (June 23, 2021) — Systel Business Equipment is pleased to announce its recent purchase of Baker Office Solutions of Florence, South Carolina; the acquisition was closed on June 15. The company also purchased the 7,146-square-foot facility located at 1512 Second Loop Road, a convenient one and a half hour drive from its corporate headquarters in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

“Systel is excited to welcome the Baker Office employees to the Systel team and we look forward to expanding Systel’s reputation for excellent customer service farther into the South Carolina region,” states Janene Aul, vice president of operations/general counsel.

Systel Business Equipment is the largest independent dealer of office automation equipment in the Southeast and is authorized in five states.

“Like Systel, Baker Office Solutions is a family owned business that is committed to putting its customers first,” states Jacqueline Smith, vice president of marketing and business development. “They are a great fit for our growing company, and we are excited to finally bridge the gap between our North Carolina and Atlanta offices with a brick and mortar location in Florence.”

The acquisition aligns with Systel’s manufacturer authorizations and growth strategy into the South Carolina market. Baker Office Solutions currently has a machine base mix of Toshiba and Lexmark, which leads to unlimited opportunity in introducing Systel’s vast product lines into this new market.

Systel is hoping to have a grand opening ceremony at its new location in the near future. “This is the first of many acquisitions and authorization strategies we have planned for South Carolina,” Smith said. “This region has been on our radar for years and we are looking forward to what the future holds for Systel here.”
