DocuWare Achieves SOC 2, Type 1 Certification

New Windsor NY (December 8, 2016) – As a leading ECM cloud solution provider, DocuWare regularly submits its product for testing and certification by independent institutions. Most recently, its DocuWare Cloud solution achieved the SOC 2, Type 1 certification based on the cloud standards by AICPA, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. This ensures that customer data is safe in the cloud.

The SOC 2 Report focuses on service organizations such as Cloud Software (SaaS) providers. SOC, or Service Organization Controls, focuses on five trust principles: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. To achieve the certification, an organization must meet the security standard plus one of the other standards. DocuWare Cloud meets the security and availability standards.

“With over one third of our new sales opting for cloud over on-premise solutions, this certification confirms the growing acceptance of this technology knowing their information is secure,” commented DocuWare’s president, Thomas Schneck.

With the SOC 2, Type 1 certification, DocuWare continues to be a world leading Cloud technology for Enterprise Content Management.
