Canon Helps Deliver Vivid, Vibrant Image Quality and Offers Streamlined Business Workflows with the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series

Melville, NY (September 22, 2016) – Delivering imageRUNNER ADVANCE technology to the high-volume office market, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today unveiled the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series, three new multifunction color systems (MFPs) designed to produce vivid, impactful prints. Offering customers a wide range of finishing options and consistent high-quality images, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7580i, imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7570i and imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7565i systems are designed for high-volume offices and demanding multi-user environments, including large departments within companies, schools, universities or other self-service environments.

As the newest models to join the third generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series comes standard with Universal Login Manager (ULM), empowering businesses with tools to help promote workflow efficiency, cost control and fleet management for multi-user environments. This server-less solution provides device authentication and simple usage tracking in a customizable, easy-to-implement solution, as well as convenient user authentication, allowing organizations to help manage access and costs by controlling individual users’ access and usage. Through the use of this standard feature, these new models can also integrate with optional uniFLOW Canon’s comprehensive and scalable software solution platform for output management and smart scanning solutions.

“We are excited to extend our imageRUNNER ADVANCE technology to the high-priority color needs of multi-user environments,” said Toyotsugu Kuwamura, executive vice president and general manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “With these new models, Canon is advancing its notable color technology to high-volume office environments with MFPs that provide powerful performance and help enhance customer productivity.”

Image Quality
Designed to provide rich, impactful prints, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series employs the V2 color profile as well as some of the proven engine and imaging technologies from the production space that imagePRESS customers have come to love. For example, a red Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (R-VCSEL) helps customers create crisp, clear color prints with 2400 x 2400 dpi print resolution. “Consistently Vivid” (CV) Toner for remarkably vibrant images on a wide variety of media helps to create output with solid blacks and image stability with limited text irregularities.

Productivity
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series features several key productivity-enhancing improvements from previous imageRUNNER ADVANCE models. In addition to expanded paper weight support through paper cassettes, an improved toner melting point and enhanced fixing process allow businesses to create output on a variety of media including heavy stock up to 300gsm, uncoated, coated and textured paper types.

Additionally, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series toner is designed for significantly higher yields from previous models, as well as greater drum yields. These enhancements can help decrease the frequency with which users need to change bottles, helping to contribute to more print uptime.

Workflow Efficiency
Delivering Canon’s signature ease of operation to the digital business environment, an intuitive user interface with a large, responsive color touch-screen with smart phone-like usability helps make carrying out tasks easy. Thanks to standard ULM, customers can enjoy the workflow benefits of advanced personalization. Upon authentication, users can access My ADVANCE features to create a personalized experience tailored to their preferences. Display settings and many frequently used functions can be customized on a user-by-user basis, allowing individuals to set their preferred language, create their own personal address book or send to contacts saved on compatible smartphones or tablets via integration with the free Canon PRINT Business app.

Diverse Finishing Options
Organizations needing to create a wide array of finished materials can benefit from the flexibility of finishing options included in the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series. A variety of finishing possibilities can be added to these models, including folding, hole-punching, document insertion, multi-position and saddle stitch stapling and booklet-making/trimming. In addition, convenient Staple On Demand and Staple-free Stapling features are available with optional finishers.

Security Features
In order to help organizations control access to their sensitive information, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series features a set of standard and allows for optional security capabilities. As part of the third generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform, these MFPs include a standard Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Encryption function with FIPS140-2 validation. When activated, this function automatically encrypts data stored on the main unit’s HDD, thereby helping to restrict access to the customer’s data. The standard HDD Erase feature can be enhanced with an optional feature that allows you to schedule the erase times and create a confirmation report.

Device & Fleet Management
Using the familiar interface enjoyed by existing imageRUNNER ADVANCE customers, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 series helps simplify the user experience within fleets, which can help increase individual and company productivity. These new systems can also be supported by Canon’s imageWARE Enterprise Management Console, its plug-ins and Canon’s Managed Document Services. With these additional system and use management solutions, businesses can benefit from centralized control for day-to-day management, as well as tools to easily deploy and manage device settings, user management and security features across the fleet of Canon multifunction systems.

Thanks to the Unified Firmware Platform, additional functionality can be integrated into existing models within the third generation of imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs through future version upgrades, potentially unlocking opportunities for these models to continuously provide new value to users.

Sustainability
With features to help reduce waste and technology designed to provide low energy consumption, which can help limit emissions, these new imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series models are Energy Star certified and rated EPEAT Gold.

Availability
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7500 Series models are currently expected to be available in October 2016.
