Access Systems Bolsters South Dakota Presence with Elite Business Systems Acquisition

Multi-line office dealer Access Systems of Waukee, Iowa, has acquired Elite Business Systems of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The deal enables Access Systems to expand its growing presence in Sioux Falls and expand its services while providing customers with multiple layers of local, technical expertise.

Elite Business Systems is a 27-year-old, locally-owned office technology specialist that provides color and black-and-white digital imaging systems and printers. The deal also enables Elite’s customer base to benefit from additional products, services, resources and superior support as part of the Access Systems’ family.

The move further underscores Access Systems’ commitment to the South Dakota market. In the past year alone, the dealer—which carries the Sharp, Toshiba, Ricoh and Lexmark product lines—opened a new office in Sioux Falls and has bolstered its employee ranks within the state.

For now, Elite Business Systems will maintain its sales and service/support offices in Sioux Falls.

Access Systems believes the acquisition will enable the company to deliver elite, tailor-made solutions to fit various organizations while providing top-notch local service to customers. CEO Shane Sloan acquired Access Systems in 2005, when it was registering just north of $500,000 in annual revenue. Buoyed by more than a dozen of acquisitions and organic growth through managed print and IT, Access Systems has expanded to nearly $60 million.
