HP LJ M604, LJ M605 and LJ M606 Failure: No Power—Won’t Turn On

LPI has noticed an increase in cases during which the above-named models will not turn on, failing with a “no power symptom” message.

After verifying the printer has a good power source, replace the HVPS/LVPS main power supply # RM2-6301, and see the printer’s service manual for proper replacement procedure.

Note: this is not to be confused with a “no display” symptom, in which you can hear the motors cycle when powered on. Most of the time, this ends up being a failed formatter board. To fix this, see the “no display” document at www.laserpros.com.
