Ricoh and its Dealer Partners Announce Successful ConvergX, Celebrating the Next Wave of Innovation

Malvern, PA (July 24, 2018) — Ricoh USA Inc. today announced that its Ricoh Family Group (RFG) Dealer Conference, ConvergX, was its most successful dealer event to date. With more than 1,200 attendees representing more than 200 dealerships in North America, ConvergX saw more interest than ever before. Top Ricoh executives, including Jake Yamashita, president & CEO of Ricoh Company, Ltd., and Joji Tokunaga, president & CEO of Ricoh in the Americas, took the stage to share Ricoh’s vision for empowering digital workplaces and reinforced the company’s commitment to helping dealers deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Positive feedback from dealer attendees was seen and heard throughout ConvergX, which took place June 25-28 in Las Vegas. To hear more from dealer attendees, watch this video.

“What really stood out to me this year at ConvergX is how much our message of partnership and working together for success really resonated with our dealers,” said Jim Coriddi, vice president, Dealer Division, Ricoh USA Inc. “We looked to the voice of our dealer partners to really emphasize how, together, we’ve seen positive growth. Those voices were heard on the main stage, in the breakout sessions and even in our Dealer Experience Center. We made some major changes to our dealer organization over the past year – including a new lead generation strategy for our dealer partners – that have been extremely well received. Each of these steps is going to make our collective businesses unstoppable. We’re excited.”

ConvergX main stage presentations included topics on:

  • Ricoh’s continued investment in R&D and a sneak peek into future innovations;
  • Ricoh’s global growth strategy, entitled RICOH Ignite;
  • Ricoh’s recent milestones, including growing its dealer business and continued year-over-year growth;
  • Ricoh’s vision for helping dealers deliver exceptional customer experiences, by anticipating the future needs of digital workplaces and demands for security with a suite of services and tools that delivers each time.

Breakout sessions focused on the challenges facing dealers and their customers, including security, ways to grow businesses, expanding dealers’ portfolio to include applications for production print and more. The event concluded with Ricoh’s Awards for Excellence dinner, during which Yamashita, Tokunaga and Coriddi presented more than 30 awards to dealer partners, highlighting their successes over the past 18 months.
