Kyocera Releases DocuWare Connector for Connecting to DocuWare Repositories, AccuSender for Sending Files Up to 100 GB in Size

November 2015 – Kyocera Document Solutions America has released its DocuWare Connector (MSRP $1,695 for one license), a business application that allows any HyPAS-enabled or capable Kyocera copier/MFP to connect to the DocuWare Enterprise Content Management system. The firm also introduced AccuSender, for sending digital files up to 100 GB in size (see below).

Kyocera says DocuWare Connector, which is available through authorized Kyocera dealers, features numerous technical advances over the industry’s other, earlier-generation connectors, including on-demand printing from DocuShare repositories, intelligent file-size recognition, streamlined installation, card-based user authentication, and more. Kyocera also says DocuWare Connector is the first application to support the DocuWare Cloud platform, which now represents approximately 15 to 20 percent of DocuWare’s U.S. installations.

Designed to simplify complex document-management processes, in one step, users can use their Kyocera MFP to scan documents directly to – and retrieve documents directly from – any folder within the company’s DocuWare system, including personal Web baskets.

When indexing a document, the firm says users instantly see recently used index dialogs, minimizing processing time for common workflows. And, via single sign-on, users can log into a secured Kyocera HyPAS-enabled MFP and Kyocera’s DocuWare Connector with one swipe of their registered proximity card.

AccuSender Powered by Biscom

Kyocera Document Solutions America also released AccuSender (MSRP $286 for one license), powered by Biscom, a secure way to capture and distribute digital files up to 100 GB in size.

As Kyocera notes, for organizations across many vertical markets, electronic file sharing is a part of day-to-day business. However, many servers have email size restrictions, making distribution of large files difficult, time-consuming, and costly. Many companies have devised a wide variety of non-standard solutions to tackle this problem, while others have implemented third-party solutions that encrypt files in transit, but fail to protect them while at rest in the cloud or on the server.

Kyocera says AccuSender, which is available through authorized Kyocera dealers, protects files at all times. The secure SSL-encrypted transfer of scanned documents safeguards confidential information in transit, while Biscom’s government FIPS-certified 256-bit encryption protects files at rest in the cloud or residing on the company’s server.

AccuSender said to be is ideal for the legal, financial, healthcare, and government sectors, which typically share large files, and also typically require the highest level of security. Kyocera says the application has other benefits, including barcode-routing sheets to streamline workflows; flexible send options; document stamping, including Bates stamping; convenient pre-sets; delivery confirmation; and more.

In order to use Biscom’s secure integration feature, end-users must contact their local dealer for pricing details. To find a dealer, visit Copystar’s dealer locator at usa.copystar.com.
