U.S. Bank Partners With Document Imaging Dealers to Donate $15,000 to Adopt-A-Soldier Platoon

Randolph, NJ, October 9, 2015 – U.S. Bank Equipment Finance – Office Equipment Vendor Service has partnered with dealers in the document imaging industry to donate $15,000 to Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon. The donation came as part of The Cannata Report’s 2015 Awards & Charities Dinner last week, at which industry leaders gathered to celebrate the past year and join together in giving back to nonprofits.

Fair Lawn, N.J.-based Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon was among the event’s nonprofit beneficiaries this year, as industry executives contributed $7,500 which U.S. Bank matched to bring the total to $15,000. Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon is an all-volunteer charity whose mission is to improve the morale of the U.S. military and their families, devoting its resources to sending care packages to troops in harm’s way; providing morale welfare recreation trips overseas and to domestic military installations; and helping returning wounded veterans with appropriate and necessary assistance to help them heal and deal with the transition to civilian life from combat.

“The Cannata Report Annual Awards & Charities Dinner has become a much-anticipated event for industry leaders to meet and support worthy causes,” said Phil Buysse, General Manager, U.S. Bank Equipment Finance, Office Equipment Vendor Services. “At U.S. Bank, we’re proud to support veterans as an employer and by partnering with nonprofits like Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon.”

In addition to U.S. Bank, industry leaders contributing to Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon included Dan Doyle Sr., Chairman, and Dan Doyle, Jr. of DEX Imaging; Centric Business Systems; Alan Eklin, CEO of Advanced Business Systems; Bill Fraser, CEO of Advanced Information Systems; Paul Hanna, President, Blue Technologies; and retired industry veterans Mario Lenci (KYOCERA) and Paul Shulman.

U.S. Bank is nationally recognized as one of America’s top corporate supporters of veterans and military families. The bank honors and supports the men and women of the U.S. military through its Proud to Serve program, which focuses on hiring and supporting veterans and members of military families throughout their careers. In recent years, U.S. Bank has been recognized with the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award and consistently been among top veteran employer or supporter lists by Military Times, G.I.
