Novatech, a leading provider of nationwide managed office solutions, announced Monday the appointment of Steven DeMaayer as CEO. In conjunction with the leadership transition, Novatech also announced that Dan Cooper has joined the company’s board of directors and will become a member of the Perpetual Capital Partners team, supporting Novatech and other initiatives.

Cooper was a highly decorated industry executive when he became CEO of Nashville, Tennessee-based Novatech in 2019. The Radford University graduate spent the better part of 12 years as a region manager for Danka Office Imaging and played a key role in its ascendance from a $350 million performer to $3.5 billion in sales. He was also an architect in the acquisition of Kodak’s copier division in 1996, which doubled Danka’s size.

He later took the CEO helm with Electronic Systems Inc. (ESI) and spent 11 years growing the organization from $70 million to $150 million in revenue. Cooper also served as president of Global Imaging Systems, with oversight of 40 companies (including ESI).

Cooper joined Novatech in April of 2019, succeeding Darren Metz. During his tenure, Cooper blended strategic acquisitions with a managed office solutions platform to eclipse the $150 million revenue mark.
