This year’s selection of the Elite Dealer of the Year was a difficult one. There were many worthy submissions and any of those could have easily laid claim to that title, however, we find that Fraser AIS, one of the most successful dealers in Eastern, PA earns that distinction this year.

We don’t think their customers will disagree. Indeed, customers like to do business with Fraser because they develop a comprehensive five-year technology road map that helps them plan for the future. “We help relieve IT department resources, and reduce both down time and operational cost,” explains Bill Fraser, president. “We monitor devices and networks remotely and provide the most efficient technology infrastructure for their business. Customers come to Fraser because of our consultative philosophy and expertise.”

Those five-year plans seem to be resonating with customers and Fraser has seen its hardware sales grow by 27 percent in the last three years while their Professional Services/Managed Services sales have doubled over the same period of time.

This year’s class of Elite Dealers showcases some of the most innovative in the industry, and Fraser certainly fits into that classification. We like that aforementioned technology road map and the fact that Fraser provides technology lifecycle management through unique leasing partnerships with U.S. banks. With one lease agreement, Fraser manages their client’s business technology infrastructure and processes as well as proactively upgrading hardware. “When Fraser does business, Fraser invests in the success of our customers,” states Bill.

Also innovative are monthly cloud computing seminars at all four of their branch locations. These events educate prospective and current clients about cloud technology and how it can impact their business processes. In addition, Fraser provides clients with an overview of the risks and benefits of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, mobile computing, and disaster recovery.

You’ve got to love Fraser’s iNnovations team too. This team is made up of a diverse group of employees who have a passion for cutting-edge technology. The team focuses on new and trending apps that make business integration with iOS devices seamless. One of the projects the team has implemented is the use of software that monitors and manages mobile devices and tablets. “Through this program, we are able to update and push specific applications to over 100 tablets across the entire Fraser organization,” explains Bill.

Recently, Fraser AIS enrolled in the Apple iOS enterprise development program. According to Bill, the iNnovations team is currently creating and remotely deploying their own in-house application that allows Fraser’s sales representatives to demonstrate the company’s technology road map through a non-linear, interactive presentation. Additionally, sales people can remotely access all of their sales documents through SharePlus, a mobile SharePoint client. Plus service engineers use PDF Pro to digitally complete orders and collect signatures. These are glowing examples of how Fraser works beyond the cubicle by thinking outside the box.

Big wins are commonplace at Fraser and one of the biggest of the past 12 months was closing a $1.2-million hospital managed print program.

Also commonplace is the way that Fraser supports the communities in which they do business. Each year Fraser budgets dollars towards the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. By making these significant donations, Fraser handpicks educational establishments to support in the community. “Every year these organizations are extremely thankful for the generous donations,” notes Bill. “This year we are looking to broaden our support to include more educational organizations.”

But that’s not all. When two successful non-profit organizations in the community approached Fraser to support their networks, Fraser was ready, willing, and able. “Most non-profits have budget concerns, but we were able to provide service and support to these organizations as in-kind donations,” reports Bill. “Not only is it helping the organization but it helps spread the word that we do more than just copiers.”

“Experience the Fraser Difference” is something that the dealership suggests to customers and potential customers alike. “The reason is simple – we are unlike any other office technology dealer,” states Bill. “We have built a company to meet all information management needs. We combine outstanding customer service with state-of-the-art technology to deliver efficient, affordable and reliable workflow solutions. We remain committed to providing our customers with ‘More Choices and Better Solutions.’”

Fraser’s growth, moreover, has been driven by its outstanding service department and service guarantees. “Any one of our thousands of satisfied customers will tell you that we have built our reputation on service after the sale, providing a quick, reliable response,” emphasizes Bill. “Our ‘Best Practices’ service is achieved through ongoing training within our Certified Sharp and Canon Training Center, which enables our skilled technicians to remain at the forefront of technology and innovation.”

We’re not alone in acknowledging that Fraser AIS is something special. Since 1986, their unyielding dedication to excellence has been recognized by Sharp Electronics with the prestigious Hykuman Kai Elite Award and in recent years by Canon with the Golden Eagle Award. On June 5, 2012, Fraser Advanced Information Systems, received recognition from The Pennsylvanian House of Representatives for their 40th anniversary, providing exceptional services to the citizens of the Greater Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Accolades aside, this is a dealership with a 40-year track record in the business and with the addition of Bill’s son, Daniel, who joined the company last December, we expect that our Elite Dealer of the Year is well positioned for many more successful years in business.
