Doing the Right Thing Meshes with EBS Difference Maker Tracy Dierolf’s Values

A quality corporate culture is one that reflects the mores of its team members. Case in point is Tracy Dierolf, who identifies firmly with her company—Edwards Business Systems (EBS) of West Reading, Pennsylvania. She cited one of EBS’ core values, which is “do the right thing.” It didn’t require the longtime employee to make any adjustments—it’s something she’s long strived to deliver upon.

It’s all part and parcel of who Dierolf is: a dedicated employee whose work ethic encompasses everything a successful firm requires. In that regard, she has been highly conspicuous and unwavering in her dedication.

“Whether it was as a manager helping my team or in my current role help basically the whole company, my problem-solving abilities have made me an impact player,” said Dierolf, a 2025 ENX Magazine Difference Maker. “I enjoying helping people learn to be more efficient or finding a solution to a problem.”

The Shippensburg University graduate (BSBA in accounting) began her career as a public accountant, although she didn’t envision herself being a CPA lifer. Following a stint with Herbein + Company as a senior accountant, she landed at EBS in West Reading, Pennsylvania. During the course of nearly 21 years, she’s filled various roles, from assistant controller to reporting and processing specialist and managed IT services coordinator, to her current gig as a special projects manager.

Dierolf faced one of her greatest challenges in 2023 when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Her health prompted the move to special projects manager, where she focuses on software and solutions. She also helps EBS flourish on the managed services end. While making some adjustments, Dierolf was (and has been) able to remain positive and enjoy the things she loves.

“I’ve found joy in my new role, learning and growing, and I don’t let the disease define me,” she said. “I’m thankful I made the change. I enjoy working with different software programs and with our IT team.”

One of the biggest influences in Dierolf’s career was not an individual but rather a peer group of industry professionals: the e-automate Users Group. “When I became part of that committee, I was in awe of what is needed to run the annual conference,” she remarked. “Also, the knowledge they have collectively is amazing.”

Dierolf’s role in enabling EBS to implement e-automate was an illuminating experience for her. As an accountant, she found it important to learn all the intricacies of the program, particularly as it all flows back to the general accounts.

“This helped me with the rest of my career path, being a source in our company for assistance and knowledge on the program,” she said. “I discovered how much I enjoyed getting the software set up.”

Dierolf enjoyed a 2024 that saw the dealership implement AgentDealer (Salesforce) for its sales team. Factoring in all of the customization the program allows, it turned into a considerable project. She’s happy to have the bulk of the work done, with only minor tweaks remaining, and is looking forward to future opportunities to add software or implement new processes.

Becoming more proficient with solutions is one area Dierolf will seek to bolster moving forward. “I love learning about the new software or learning more about the ones we are already using; how can we be more efficient with it?  And then sharing that knowledge with coworkers to help them be the best they can at their jobs,” she noted.

Dierolf and her husband, Ed, have been married 22 years. They have two sons, Ethan (18) and Evan (14). Having graduated high school in June, Ethan is headed for boot camp with the Army National Guard. An avid camper who enjoys reading and doing Sudoku puzzles, she’s also a diehard fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
