Between the Lines: Social Media Anyone?

The Elite Dealer nominations are closed. Amazingly, I more nomination forms this year than last year, thank you. Plus I was shocked by the number that arrived in my inbox all day Friday and Friday night. It must have been just like being in college for some of these dealers who had waited until the last minute to complete that big paper.

As I’ve been reviewing the submissions, and there’s quality in addition to quantity this year, I was struck by those dealers who mentioned what they’ve been doing in the social media realm. That’s still an evolving art form and many folks are still figuring out how to effectively leverage that in their marketing efforts. I know I am.

Recently I spoke with two women who are social media champions within their dealerships. That article appears in this week’s issue and should give you some insights into not only what other dealerships are doing with social media, but a sense of direction as to where you should be focusing your efforts if you haven’t done anything yet or if you’ve been stumbling along.

If you’re doing anything interesting in terms of social media, whether you’re a dealer or a manufacturer, I’d love to hear from you and hopefully include your experiences in an upcoming edition of The Week in Imaging.

New content this week includes:

  • Social Media in the Dealership
  • Hail to the Lexmark Fleet Manager 2.0
  • Food for Thought: Sound Bites from the Strategy Development 2012 Client Symposium
  • Art Post Targets Architects
