Juan Carlos Castillo, Epson Director of North America Commercial Channel, Recognized as a CRN Channel Chief for Second Consecutive Year

Los Alamitos, CA (March 28, 2024) — Epson America Inc. today announced that CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Juan Carlos Castillo, director of North America Commercial Channel, to the prestigious 2024 CRN Channel Chiefs list. This annual list recognizes the IT vendor and distribution executives who are driving strategy and setting the channel agenda for their companies.

This is the second consecutive year that Castillo has been recognized as a CRN Channel Chief. He is responsible for channel sales and marketing for Epson’s North American commercial business. He works closely with key partners, discusses the strategy to generate demand, and identifies the correct quantity and mix of products to exceed customers’ expectations. Castillo joined Epson in 2019 and was previously the sales and service director for Epson Robots. With over 27 years of experience in leadership within the areas of B2B sales, finance, automation, test and measurement, and robotics, he has established a personal channel philosophy on establishing lasting partnerships.

“The channel is an extension of our company, which reflects our values and embraces our goals and objectives. We rely on our channel for scale and to achieve the customer proximity that we have defined as central to our business’s success,” said Castillo. “We invested in marketing resources that focus not only on the end user but also on the benefit that our partners gain when selling our products. Our partners are our number-one customers, and they represent the voice of our end users.”

The Channel Chiefs list showcases the top leaders throughout the IT channel ecosystem who work tirelessly to ensure mutual success with their partners and customers.

Over the past year, Castillo’s team, collaboratively with Epson’s channel partners, has accomplished growth in a time when product lines declined and demand decreased. Together, they managed excess inventory and avoided or diminished slow-moving inventory situations. They also developed strategies that opened new markets for mature product lines, generating growth and a new opportunity pipeline.

“These channel evangelists are dedicated to supporting solution providers and achieving growth by implementing robust partner programs and unique business strategies,” said Jennifer Follett, vice president, U.S. content, and executive editor, CRN, at The Channel Company. “Their efforts are instrumental in helping partners bring essential solutions to market. The Channel Company is pleased to acknowledge these prominent channel leaders and looks forward to chronicling their achievements throughout the year.”

CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs list is featured in the February 2024 issue of CRN magazine and online here.
