Between the Lines: Meet the 2012 Elite

Scott Cullen, Publisher & Editor of The Week in Imaging

The nominations are in, the entries have been reviewed, and the final selections have been made and the Elite Dealer class of 2012 is ready to be unveiled. Over the next five weeks I’ll be announcing 10 Elite Dealers a week, beginning Friday, Sept. 28 and wrapping up with the final group on Friday, Oct. 26. I’m presenting these randomly rather than in alphabetical order so I encourage you to continue to visit The Week in Imaging Website or open the e-mail blast I send out each Friday morning to find out who we are honoring each week.

As I always explain, these awards don’t only honor the biggest dealers, but rather a cross section of the industry. They honor dealers who excel in a range of areas. Yes, it helps that they’re financially successful and growing, but we also look for dealers who are riding ahead of or along the technology, services, and solutions curve rather than behind it. Many of these dealers do a terrific job of supporting their communities, have a vibrant work culture, treat their employees well, and offer innovative marketing programs. It’s never any one thing that makes an Elite Dealer, it’s a combination of attributes. Admittedly not all dealers excel at all of these things while some do. I’m proud to have this opportunity to once again acknowledge some of the best and brightest dealers in the country.

I had a larger volume of nomination forms received this year compared to last, which means more people are discovering what I’m doing with The Week in Imaging. There’s still plenty of dealers who I would have liked to honor, however, many of those either didn’t submit a nomination form or didn’t respond to my request to participate. I hope next year that they will.  Thanks to all who took the time to respond, your thoroughness in responding to my questions and making a case for your dealership made my job difficult. And now let’s meet the Elite.

New content this week includes:

  • Our First 10 Elite Dealers
  • NSi Goes Mobile
  • Art Post on the Transition of the Copier Industry
  • What’s Hot & What’s Not?
