This week I’m introducing a new department to The Week in Imaging called “Meet the Movers and Shakers.” It’s a human interest Q&A that focuses on individuals from all corners of the industry, including independent dealers, executives from the OEMs and solutions and services providers as well as industry analysts and consultants. These are the people who make the industry tick in so many different ways. The way I see it, it’s a way to get to know these folks better by showcasing who they are in a different light than they are typically portrayed in the 9-5 world.

Admittedly, it’s a concept I first came up with a few years ago while working for another publication that has since gone the way of the Dodo. Anyway, I hope you find it a fun and interesting read. I’ll be including 1-2 of these each week. Not to be self indulgent, but in addition to a Q&A with our first mover and shaker, Joe Barganier of MPSA, I’m also including myself (Not that I consider myself a mover and shaker.) to give you a better idea of what I’m looking for.
