Schaumburg, IL (Aug. 25, 2021) — Pulse Technology, a technology company serving the IT, managed print service, and other needs of businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond, has named Bill Kousoulas of Sycamore, IL to the position of Branch Manager of the firm’s Rockford, Illinois, location.

Bill Kousoulas, Pulse Technology

In this role, he will work with Vice President Vince Miceli and President/CEO Chip Miceli to recruit, hire and supervise high caliber salespeople to serve the Pulse market in the greater Rockford area, working with businesses and organizations for their managed IT, copier/printer/MPS, software, and business processes needs.

Kousoulas has been in the managed print/technology space since 1998. He spent 10 years with Gordon Flesh Company as a senior account executive. Before that, he was a senior account executive with RK Dixon in Davenport, IowA. His work experience also includes time with Ideal Industries in Sycamore, Illinois, and five years in the real estate industry.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University; and he earned a master’s degree and a doctorate, both in psychology, from Capella University.

In the community, he has served on the Board of Directors of three different not-for-profit organizations, including the Renz Addiction Counseling Center in Elgin, Illinois.

As part of his duties, Kousoulas will also be working in the DeKalb/Sycamore area after many years away. He said, “It is great to be back in DeKalb County; I am looking forward to connecting with friends and businesses I haven’t seen in decades.”

He lives in Sycamore with his wife Jaci, a retired USPS postmaster. They are parents to three children and have two grandchildren.

One of Kousoulas’ outside activities is working as a qualitative researcher in the field of post-traumatic growth. He and his wife investigate areas where catastrophic events have occurred and analyze what people have been able to accomplish post-trauma. They are currently working on a scientific study of the growth experienced by the community of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, which experienced a traumatic event in 1967 when the Silver Bridge collapsed and 46 people died. His goal is to publish the scientific study in a book. In a related matter, he has a part in a documentary film based on his research on another topic. He will play a role in “On the Trail of the Lake Michigan Mothman” set to air in December through Amazon Prime.

Vince Miceli, vice president at Pulse Technology, said, “We are very pleased to welcome Bill to the Pulse family.
