Dover, NH (Nov. 26, 2018) — Formax introduces the 6210 Series Inserters, which will soon replace the 6204 Series, with upgraded features to align with the 6306 Series. New features include a modern, streamlined look, a full glass color touchscreen with graphics-based interface, paper/envelope presence sensors, and a high-capacity vertical output stacker.
Five configurations are available for a wide range of folding and inserting applications, with a folding capacity of up to five sheets, and a high-capacity vertical output stacker that holds up to 500 processed envelopes. User-friendly features include AutoSet which senses and automatically sets the paper length, paper thickness, fold type, and envelope size, up to 50 programmable jobs, and an eco-friendly sleep mode which saves energy by automatically switching into standby after one hour of being idle.
The 6210 Series has a 7” color touchscreen, a top-loading envelope hopper with a capacity of up to 150 envelopes which can be refilled on-the-fly and can process up to 15,000 pieces per month at speeds
up to 2,000 pieces per hour. The optional productivity package provides an increased duty cycle of up to 20,000 pieces per month, speed of up to 2,500 pieces per hour, multi-sheet feeding capacity, and folding up to eight sheets at once.
Document security is a high priority these days, and this is reinforced with double document detectors located at both the infeed and insert areas to ensure no double documents are fed into the system. These electromechanical detectors can operate with any print density, paper color, thickness or in the presence of paper dust. Documents requiring inspection are automatically delivered to the divert station without interrupting the job being processed.
Options include a CIS Scanner which covers the full width of the document feeders and can read OMR, OCR, 1D and 2D barcodes printed horizontally or vertically on the document, single or multi-code reading licenses, a high capacity production feeder for smaller inserts or BREs up to 6” in length, side exit tray, locking cabinets, and 402 Series Joggers.
With user-friendly features and a variety of configurations, the 6210 Series Inserters are compact, powerful solutions for tabletop mail processing.
