ProCopy Office Solutions Leadership Stays Active in Industry Involvement

Phoenix, AZ (August 25, 2016) – ProCopy Office Solutions, a Phoenix based office technology company, has made a huge commitment to the office technology industry by committing to being part of the leadership in several key boards and councils.

ProCopy’s founder Tim Stevenson is beginning his second year on the Canon Dealer Advisory Council. Tim said, “It is a huge honor to be asked to serve on the Canon Dealer Advisory Council and something I have been interested in since becoming an Authorized Canon Dealer in 2008. Most of the other dealer principles came from a sales or finance background. I began working on Canon copiers as a technician at 15 while I was still in high school. I think I have a unique perspective that has allowed me significant input during my first year on the council. It has also risen the profile of ProCopy inside the Canon community as we are seeing a lot more dealers around the country using us for their clients with offices in Arizona knowing we will treat them like our own clients.”

In June, ProCopy President Mike McGuirk was named to the National Ricoh Dealer Advisory Council. ProCopy represents both Canon and Ricoh, the top two selling brands in the US. They are the only company in the country represented on both counsels. In addition, Mike has been asked to serve on the board of directors of the West Coast division of the Business Technology Association (BTA), the national trade association of the office technology industry. He has also added to the board of the Select Dealer Group (SDG), a BTA collaboration of 40 companies from different markets that get together several times a year to share best practice and stack rank results.  ProCopy is beginning its fourth year in SDG.

“I am thrilled to serve on the Ricoh National Dealer Advisory Board and the two BTA boards,” said McGuirk. “The Ricoh group along with Tim on the Canon group really shows how much ProCopy has grown over the past six years and has served as an innovator in our industry. SDG has proven to be invaluable to us as we learn from some of the best dealers around the country like Loffler from Minnesota and AIS in Dallas. BTA has been serving our industry for over 90 years and working with Brent Hoskins, Bob Goldberg and the rest of their fantastic team and helping to shape the next 90 years is almost a dream come true.”

Tim Stevenson and Mike McGuirk began working together at a local Phoenix dealership in 1985. They both moved up into Senior Management when the company was sold to Danka in 1993. They reunited at ProCopy in 2010 and have grown the company’s revenue and profit six-fold in six years. During that time, the company was named to the INC 5000 fastest growing companies in the US three times, one of the top 50 dealers in the US by ENX Magazine twice, and one of the best places to work by the Phoenix Business Journal. Last yea,r ProCopy was named a Canon Premier Dealer and a Ricoh Circle of Excellence Service Dealer, both companies’ highest honors.
