Konica Minolta Announces the North American Launch of its Production Printing User Community PROKOM

Member-led Networking site aimed at users of the production print range promises a first look at new Konica Minolta Products; offers workshops, networking and webinars

Ramsey, NJ – September 22, 2016 – Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) today announced the North American launch and sponsorship of the foundation for an independent user group, PROKOM. The initiative, which has been developed following 12 months of research involving user surveys, was initially open only to European users and based on its success now has a further rollout.

Companies across North America are being invited to join this community of Konica Minolta production print and industrial print users to share ideas through joint discussions, develop and grow efficient digital communication services, as well as become a platform for members to express their own voice and cross-pollinate with others in the industry. PROKOM members can actively engage with Konica Minolta senior management about their priorities for future design, functionality, technology and services while building profitable long-lasting relationships. The company’s hope is that it will result in the development of cutting-edge industry relevant solutions.

“The power of a community is that it enables individuals to connect, share experiences and learn,” said PROKOM Chairman Andy Barber, Managing Director – imail, UK Mail PLC. “There is one common objective: to grow their businesses and to keep print firmly as a medium where members understand its potential in a multi-channel world. PROKOM allows us to do all that – and more. Now, with our colleagues from the US joining, we have a much bigger voice and are looking forward to making some further exciting announcements soon.”

“We are excited to amplify our social networking, support tools and better serve the growth of our client base who are leaders in their industries,” said Dino Pagliarello, vice president, Product Management and Planning, Konica Minolta. “We look forward to participating in the dialogue and interaction and sharing our commitment to collaboration among the next wave of innovation.”

The U.S will be adding two advisory board members to the worldwide team. First advisory board member is J. Chris Bowen, Chief Technology Officer from Cohber Press based in Rochester, NY
