EPIC Business Essentials Announces 5-Year Enterprise Wide Agreement with Batelle Energey Alliance and Idaho National Laboratory

Rosemont, IL, May 10, 2016- EPIC Business Essentials is excited to announce the award of a new 5-year Enterprise Wide Agreement (with 5 additional one year option renewals) for office supplies with Battelle Energy Alliance and Idaho National Laboratory on behalf of the Integrated Contractor Purchasing Team (ICPT) and the Department of Energy. This award is a tremendous win for EPIC Business Essentials, the newly formed joint venture between Independent Stationers National Accounts and Federal Sales Division and TriMega Purchasing Association’s Point Nationwide.

“This award showcases the strength of the independent dealer channel, and our ability to offer the highest level of value to enterprise customers. We are very excited to announce this award as we continue to prove ourselves as a national alternative to the big box retailers.” stated Kevin France, Executive Director of EPIC Business Essentials.

This new award to EPIC Business Essentials maintains the focus and commitment of ICPT to supporting small businesses, and expands the opportunity for independent office suppliers to service their local communities.

Through EPIC Business Essentials direct connection with Independent Stationers and the TriMega Purchasing Association’s network of close to 1,000 office products dealers across the country, EPIC Business Essentials brings clear value and a broad solution to ICPT.

Scott Zintz, National Vertical Markets Sales Manager for EPIC said, “The EPIC Business Essentials team is grateful for this opportunity to provide unmatched value and customer service to the DOE contractors serviced through this award. We anticipate making many more such announcements in 2016 and beyond.”

The ICPT is comprised of a group of contractors with the goal of forming strategic purchasing agreements through leveraging the buying power of the DOE Contractor complex to include subcontractors. This concept requires the offeror to think of the work complex (herein after to include subcontractors) as a single entity, not as individual sites or locations, much like a corporation would place national agreements to be used by any of their locations. The team’s philosophy is to minimize duplication in the acquisition process and to establish long-term relationships with world-class suppliers.

EPIC Business Essentials is a joint venture between Independent Stationers National Accounts and TriMega Purchasing Associations Point Nationwide, with close to a thousand independent dealers spread across the country. EPIC Business Essentials is the tie that binds the two groups together to give independent dealers the ability to compete for multi-geographic commercial accounts and federal business that was once reserved for only the big boxes. Through a centralized ordering platform, consistent invoicing, competitive pricing and contract compliance, EPIC Business Essentials is here to provide customers the experience they deserve while keeping their business where it really should stay – local.
