District of Columbia Public School District Upgrades 111 Schools with Fleet of Sharp MFPs

Sharp Upgrades MFP Fleet with 392 Machines as Preferred Vendor to D.C. Public School District Five Years Running

Mahwah, NJ, August 11, 2015 – Sharp Business Systems, a direct sales division of Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), announces that the District of Columbia has awarded Sharp an $8 million multi-year contract to upgrade its fleet of Multifunctional Printers (MFPs) at 111 schools and at its central office.

Sharp first began working with the school district in 2009 when it supplied a large portion of the district’s copier equipment. As part of this contract, Sharp is once again helping the district upgrade equipment and supplied 181 of the MX-M754N, 159 of the MX-M904 and 52 of the MX-M465N document systems for an upgrade installation that took 30 days. A total of 392 machines were installed under the new multi-year contract. All three of these Sharp MFP models have multitasking workflow features, perfect for busy schools or any large workgroups looking to produce documents at high speeds.
