Resiliency with Site Server – Introducing PaperCut version 15.0

TORONTO, March 10, 2015 The ability to continue supporting critical print and copy services during multi-site network disruptions is a key feature of PaperCut 15.0, released this month and now available from ITC Systems. The new release introduces Site Servers, the single biggest innovation in the software’s history. Critical features of a PaperCut Primary Server can now be replicated on a local site so that Multi Function Devices (MFDs) are available during a network disruption.

“This is a huge innovation for PaperCut and it represents a major improvement in resiliency for multi-site installations,” says ITC Systems CEO Campbell Richardson. “Anyone whose business requires a multi-site deployment should consider this solution.”

PaperCut’s site servers sync user information—including last known balances—at regular intervals and ensure that user balances are still available during service interruptions. PaperCut Site Server allows continuous access to Find-Me Printing and secure print release. The software program supports all MFDs, all databases and all operating systems.

Other benefits of the new release include:

  • An option to seamlessly upgrade from PaperCut NG to PaperCut MF
  • More card Reader support
  • Global Print Driver support for deployment to 32-bit workstations from 64-bit servers
  • Improvements in scalability capabilities
  • Security improvements
  • SSO improvements
