{"id":6450,"date":"2014-01-08T13:19:09","date_gmt":"2014-01-08T18:19:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theweekinimaging.com\/?p=6450"},"modified":"2014-01-13T11:06:50","modified_gmt":"2014-01-13T16:06:50","slug":"watching-the-migration-from-small-workgroup-devices-to-mid-workgroup-devices-with-oki-data","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/feature-articles\/2014\/01\/watching-the-migration-from-small-workgroup-devices-to-mid-workgroup-devices-with-oki-data\/","title":{"rendered":"Watching the Migration from Small Workgroup Devices to Mid Workgroup Devices with OKI Data"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/OKI_Logo1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-6487\" alt=\"OKI_Logo\" src=\"http:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/OKI_Logo1-300x79.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"79\" \/><\/a>If you ask Carl Taylor, vice president of marketing for OKI Data, what trends will be affecting OKI\u2019s business in 2014 don\u2019t be surprised if he hones in on a couple of hardware-specific trends.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe major trend we see driving our revenue growth and market contribution in the next year is the macro trend that\u2019s underway from single-function devices to MFPs and a migration from small workgroup style devices to mid workgroup style devices,\u201d says Taylor. \u201cWe saw those trends building over the last couple of years; subsequently we launched quite a few new products, all with the exception of two or three in 2013 in workgroup style categories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom a new product introduction standpoint the biggest change in our business that we\u2019ll see this year is A4 mid workgroup MFPs, color and mono,\u201d states Taylor. \u201cAnd then our C9 series which is A3 large workgroup single-function devices.
