The same old, same old is what causes those concentric circles to do their hypnotic eye spins. And it may not be that the employee hates his or her position, but is rather in need of a little variety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, you won\u2019t hear any complaints from Kim Murphy. Following an eight-year stint as a legal secretary in Boston, she\u2019s spent the past 38 years loving life in her role with Bay Copy of Rockland, Massachusetts. No, make that UBEO Business Services, which acquired Bay Copy last December. And while many people fear becoming a victim of change at this juncture in their career, Murphy is finding new and exciting ways to spice up her day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am driven by the desire to learn new things, and it is rewarding to continually gain greater understanding of the business,\u201d said Murphy, a 2024 <em>ENX Magazine<\/em> Difference Maker. \u201cI enjoy always improving my skills and knowledge. I enjoy building strong relationships with our customers, and working to ensure that they will always feel they have made the right decision in choosing our company.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bay Copy certainly made the right decision in onboarding Murphy. During her time with the New England dealer, she\u2019s handled just about every duty imaginable\u2014equipment sales, quotes, contract billing and accounts receivable. At the time of the acquisition, Murphy was operations manager, and she now serves as office manager of UBEO\u2019s Rockland branch. In fact, she served as a liaison between the two companies, helping to ensure a smooth integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Team Player<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Becoming operations manager represented a milestone achievement in Murphy\u2019s career, and it required learning many new tasks and responsibilities. As someone who values working and collaborating with teammates, it proved to be a rewarding experience for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to learn as much as I could, and I reached out for assistance when needed,\u201d she said. \u201cThe other managers in my office were always there to help me and guide me, and to work with me. Her daughter, Laura, is also a Bay Copy\/UBEO employee. When she\u2019s not dedicating time to her family, Murphy enjoys the great outdoors\u2014hiking, walking trails, camping, cruises and hitting the beach, along with bowling. She\u2019s also a member of Sodality of Our Lady society at her local church, Holy Apostles Parish.
