Lake Forest, IL (Aug. 15, 2019)<\/em> \u2014 Impact, a leading managed service provider, hosted the second annual Impact Optimize2019 on Thursday, August 8th at Navy Pier. The summit hosted over 1,000 business professionals from the local and regional area looking to develop the skills necessary to map out their digital transformation journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impact launched Impact Optimize last year, with the inaugural summit taking place at Impact Field, as an educational event focused on the timely topic of cybersecurity. In 2019, Impact Optimize co-founders, Frank DeGeorge, Impact CTO, and Patrick Layton, Impact VP of MIT Services, chose to expand the topic to Digital Transformation for Growing Companies. The theme of Impact Optimize2019 offered multiple people from one company the opportunity to learn how their role is being or will be affected by rapidly changing technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the morning mainstage sessions speakers included keynote, Robert Herjavec, star of ABC\u2019s Shark Tank and founder\/CEO of The Herjavec Group; Mike Jones, president of Business Capital at CIT Bank; and Michael \u201cMafiaBoy\u201d Calce, infamous reformed Canadian hacker and president of Optimal Secure. The sessions covered two of the main aspects of digital transformation, cybersecurity and business agility, and set the tone for the day ahead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The afternoon included more than 70 breakout sessions and demos with topics including improving business processes through automation and AI, enhancing the customer experience, implementing a culture of change, protecting operations from cyberthreats and more. An exhibit hall was set up for attendees to get one-on-one demos from vendors including HP, Kofax, Kyocera, Cisco Meraki, Ricoh, Docuware, Mendix, Nerdio and more. A networking happy hour closed out the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
