The building will be energy efficient and state-of-the-art. Miceli said that the new headquarters will have large, state of the art video walls for demonstrations and meetings, which will be complemented by a showroom featuring the latest in copiers, multifunction printers, and other office equipment. The Pulse Technology headquarters will also showcase the very latest in office furniture, as it expands its line of office furniture into Illinois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the last two years, the firm has used its Carol Stream location (262 Carlton Drive) as headquarters. Pulse Technology acquired the Carol Stream building following an incident in 2017 when a microburst came through Elk Grove Village and essentially destroyed the building on Bonaventure Drive which had served as corporate headquarters for 30 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pulse is using the family-owned business Bear Construction to do the build out of the facility, which Miceli hopes will be ready for occupancy in September.  \u201cWe have been welcomed with open arms by the City of Schaumburg,\u201d Miceli said, adding, \u201cThis city and region has always been an important part of our market, and we\u2019re thrilled at how they\u2019ve done everything they can to accommodate and welcome us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miceli said that Pulse Technology will keep and continue to use the Carol Stream location, primarily for warehouse functions, but will move their administrative, sales and technical personnel to Schaumburg. \u201cCarol Stream has been great to us,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s a great community and a good location, but we\u2019ve simply outgrown the space. After a thorough search, we have found a location that we believe will be ideal for our present needs and which will accommodate future growth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pulse Technology, which is the new and re-branded name for Des Plaines Office Equipment, Kramer &amp; Leonard and McShane\u2019s, has <g class=\"gr_ gr_4 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"4\" data-gr-id=\"4\">location<\/g> in Rockford, Chicago and Carol Stream, Illinois, and Chesterton, Indiana. The firm will continue to operate from all of these locations but will transfer its corporate functions to the Schaumburg location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years, the firm has acquired a number of smaller Chicago area Managed Print Services companies and recently brought the Northern Indiana firms McShane\u2019s and Kramer &amp; Leonard, which date back to 1921, under their umbrella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their new space was built in 1987 and previously housed an insurance company. When completed, the Schaumburg facility will house more than 20 individual offices plus a state-of-the-art showroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schaumburg has been a prominent part of the Pulse Technology market. The firm sponsors the Boomers, the city\u2019s baseball team; and hosts a number of events in the community, from Open Houses to Lunch <g class=\"gr_ gr_6 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace\" id=\"6\" data-gr-id=\"6\">\u2018n<\/g> Learn sessions.
