Dover, NH (June 4, 2019)<\/em> \u2014 Formax is pleased to introduce the FD 6104 Desktop Inserter, an upgraded model which will replace the FD 6102. New features include an enhanced touchscreen on par with the 6210 through 6608 Series inserters, and an optional Tri-Fold Kit for even panel C-fold documents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new state-of-the-art 5\u201d color touchscreen provides quick access to jobs right on the home screen,<\/g> and positions the 6104 in line with the rest of the Formax tabletop inserters. Intuitive, wizard-based software guides users through job programming step-by-step, while bold icons indicate the status of each feeder. Users can store up to 15 jobs, for instant one-touch operation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FD 6104 processes documents<\/g> up to 14\u201d in length, folding and inserting up to 5 sheets, stapled or unstapled, at a time. It inserts up to 1,350 envelopes per hour, up to 5,000 per month, with the capacity to insert into #10 or 6\u201d x 9.5\u201d envelopes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The unit comes standard with two fully-automatic sheet feeders and one automatic insert\/BRE feeder to provide a range of folding and inserting capabilities. With electromagnetic double document detection, users can rest assured each envelope contains the correct number of documents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Standard fold types include letter, double parallel, half and no fold. The optional Tri-Fold Kit is available to produce even-panel folds, ideal for brochures and marketing pieces that don\u2019t require an envelope. Users simply open the clamshell lid, and replace the moistener kit with the Tri-Fold Kit, with no tools required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For energy savings, the FD 6104 features an automatic sleep mode, which puts the inserter into standby after one hour of being idle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
