Last year, McShane\u2019s in Munster, IN and Indiana Mailing Systems joined the group. Kramer &amp; Leonard is a family-run business that has served northwest Indiana since 1983. Greg Fox, who serves as president of Kramer &amp; Leonard, recalls that his father-in-law founded the company, and the firm has grown to 22 employees. Kramer &amp; Leonard, which employs people from all over the region, provides a wide range of solutions for businesses and organizations. In addition to Sharp printers and copiers, Kramer &amp; Leonard provides office products and furniture. They are an authorized dealer of National Office, HON and Herman Miller. Clients range from Fortune 50 to smaller companies, with a core business base of health care, business and government contracts, and schools and universities. Kramer &amp; Leonard has a large distribution network and serves clients from Chicago to Miami and San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>Chip Miceli, president and CEO of Des Plaines Office Equipment, said that his company (founded in 1955) has sought to expand its market share through mergers and acquisitions. \u201cKramer &amp; Leonard has a strong reputation in the market, with excellent products and service, and a topnotch team of professionals,\u201d he said. \u201cOur plans are to work with Greg and his team and help strengthen each of our individual companies\u2019 position in the market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miceli added, \u201cWe bring additional equipment lines, strong managed network (IT) to the table, and Kramer &amp; Leonard bring a line of office products. This is a strong synergy between our companies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox said, \u201cThis merger is a natural fit. We will have combined strength and the critical mass necessary to offer more comprehensive services in technology and service.
