{"id":15478,"date":"2015-12-01T11:09:32","date_gmt":"2015-12-01T16:09:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/?p=15478"},"modified":"2015-12-01T11:09:32","modified_gmt":"2015-12-01T16:09:32","slug":"global-graphics-and-software-imaging-announce-cooperation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/news\/2015\/12\/global-graphics-and-software-imaging-announce-cooperation\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Graphics and Software Imaging Announce Cooperation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Cambridge, UK, December 1, 2015 \u2013<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalgraphics.com\">Global Graphics<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.softwareimaging.com\/en\/\">Software Imaging<\/a> announced today that they have signed a cooperation agreement which will allow both companies to offer a broader range of products and services to office printer manufacturers, and software companies working in the Managed Print Services market.\u00a0 Software Imaging provides printer driver technologies to the printer manufacturing and mobile device markets.\u00a0 Global Graphics is the developer of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalgraphics.com\/products\/harlequin-embedded-sdk\/\">Harlequin<\/a>\u00ae Page Description Language software that is embedded on silicon chips inside devices.<\/p>\n<p>Under the terms of the agreement Software Imaging will recommend Global Graphics\u2019 Harlequin Embedded SDK as its preferred embedded software and Software Imaging will become Global Graphics preferred Printer Driver Partner.\u00a0 Software Imaging will also integrate Global Graphics\u2019 digital document software, which is branded gDoc, with its own PCL and PostScript\u00ae components, to provide printer vendors with document solutions within print-focussed applications and workflows.<\/p>\n<p>Justin Bailey, Global Graphics\u2019 VP of sales, says \u201cOur ability to provide office printer manufacturers with a combination of the Harlequin embedded RIP, fonts, since our acquisition of the URW++ font foundry in September, and now printer drivers from Software Imaging is a winning combination of performance and price.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Software Imaging\u2019s role as a gDoc Services partner will enable us both to meet the needs of software companies working in the Managed Print Services market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Peter Lismer, Chief Executive of Software Imaging, says, \u201cI have enjoyed a close association with Global Graphics for 17 years.
