Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America

Health care systems are under constant pressure to provide the best quality of care possible. Every touch point with a patient is important, which is why Sharp has taken measures to understand the health care business and the importance of security and achieving medical government and HIPAA quality assurance, as well as the unique demands in acute care.

Technology used to transfer data in health care environments must be secure, provide integrations with EHR software and deliver cost savings. Sharp multifunction printers (MFPs) and copiers help ensure patient data is safe by not only building multi-layered security into the hardware, but also enacting failsafe setting resets should a machine be tampered with. Sharp copiers integrate with leading EHR platforms, such as Cerner and Epic, to eliminate manual processes and inefficiencies. Key integrations also aid administration by making insurance payments more timely, thereby providing a better quality patient experience.

Sharp copiers are compatible with Secure Print solutions and HID badge authentication, and also with scanning solutions to digitize paper forms, improving collaboration and patient flow. Sharp MFPs improve the patient journey by enhancing workflow processes while helping to meet regulatory compliance, control costs and ultimately improve patient care.

Xerox

Xerox has created several apps for its multifunction printers that help legal clients concentrate on providing valuable services rather than busywork. These apps can be downloaded from the Xerox App Gallery.

  • Xerox Connect for Clio and Connect for iManage removes the laborious and time-intensive steps when scanning a document to, or printing a document from, iManage or Clio legal software.
  • Xerox’s integration with an existing DocuSign or signNow platform, signature pages and workflows can be collated and triggered directly from a Xerox-enabled device, saving time by obtaining signatures that usually provide logistical challenges and possible lengthy delays.
  • Sharing hard copy documents with different parties can present challenges, and redaction is the tool of choice to protect sensitive content. A real challenge arises when there is only a hard copy. Xerox has teamed up with GoogleAI to provide an app that applies redaction to a scanned document. Xerox Auto-Redaction ensures the document can be emailed, safe in the knowledge that only the recipient can see what they are meant to see.
