Each year, the foundation remains committed to supporting the communities within Gordon Flesch Company\u2019s (GFC\u2019s) territories, honoring the memory of founder Gordon Flesch\u2019s mission to give back to the areas where GFC\u2019s employees and customers live and work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"869\" height=\"409\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Flesch.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-61819\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Flesch.png 869w, http:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Flesch-300x141.png 300w, http:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Flesch-768x361.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 869px) 100vw, 869px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to its annual donations, the Foundation also engages in targeted giving for emergency disaster relief. This year funds were allocated to Iowa nonprofits for flood relief in affected communities after record-high river levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gordon Flesch Company (GFC) has a longstanding tradition of charitable giving and philanthropy. In 2001 following the September 11th attacks, company employees and the Flesch family agreed to donate funds instead of hosting the annual employee recognition dinners. This initiative, led by Gordon\u2019s sons, John, Tom and Bill Flesch, marked the beginning of what would become the Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike most corporate giving programs, the Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation is managed entirely by company associates. Each year associates nominate local community organizations that are close to their hearts.
