{"id":10941,"date":"2015-01-07T08:55:42","date_gmt":"2015-01-07T13:55:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/?p=10941"},"modified":"2015-01-07T08:55:42","modified_gmt":"2015-01-07T13:55:42","slug":"my-top-new-years-work-resolutions-for-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/the-week-in-imaging-twii\/sales-and-service\/2015\/01\/my-top-new-years-work-resolutions-for-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"My Top New Year\u2019s Work Resolutions for 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-10942\" src=\"http:\/\/www.enxmag.com\/twii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/new-years-nd26bz-300x206.jpg\" alt=\"new-years-nd26bz\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" \/>Many\u00a0people every year enable some\u00a0New Year\u2019s resolutions that might include exercising more, eating healthier, quitting smoking, and saving more money.\u00a0 But, how many of us really make the time to set some New Year&#8217;s Work Resolutions?<\/p>\n<p>The Resolutions that you set today can lead you to your goals of 2015.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re in sales and you don&#8217;t have any goals for 2015, I suggest you leave sales asap and get a 9-5 job.<\/p>\n<p>I have\u00a0two\u00a0goals for 2015.\u00a0The first\u00a0is to make more money\u00a0than last year.\u00a0 That&#8217;s it, pretty simple right?\u00a0 The second is to beat my 2014 revenue in sales.\u00a0Ask yourself, what are your\u00a0selling goals for 2015?\u00a0Thus I&#8217;m going to put some resolutions down on paper (remember paper, we like paper).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resolution #1:\u00a0<\/strong> Increase prospecting for production gear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resolution #2:<\/strong>\u00a0 Stop with the one off equipment (copier)\u00a0sales to net new accounts, focus more on net new with three systems plus with Segment 3 or higher.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resolution #3:\u00a0<\/strong> Schedule more appointments with existing accounts to learn more about their business processes and initiatives for 2015 and beyond.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resolution #4:<\/strong> Clean up my CRM, out with the crap and in with the new.<\/p>\n<p>I could probably set a few more, but I read that 62 percentof people will not succeed with their New Year\u2019s resolutions.\u00a0 They way I look at it is that <em>one in every\u00a0three people did succeed<\/em> and I plan on being the <em>one of three.<\/em><em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em> Oh yes, and that&#8217;s a .333 batting average which in baseball is good enough to get you in the Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n<p>In order to remember these\u00a0resolutions (keep in mind that I&#8217;m a little older than the average bear), I&#8217;m going to print these four resolutions on 11&#215;17 paper (we like paper right) and hang them in my space for a pleasant daily reminder.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great year of selling and please post any comments.<\/p>\n<p>Good selling!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many\u00a0people every year enable some\u00a0New Year\u2019s resolutions that might include exercising more, eating healthier, quitting smoking, and saving more money.\u00a0 But, how many of us really make the time to set some New Year&#8217;s Work Resolutions?
