(Dec. 2, 2014) \u2014<\/em>Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. today announces the promotion of content management industry veteran Tom Walter to the position of vice president of distribution and aftermarket sales.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year sales and marketing executive will expand his current responsibility of managing the day-to-day operations of the company\u2019s aftermarket products. In his new position, Walter is tasked with enhancing Toshiba\u2019s footprint within the thermal barcode printer segment and increasing toner sales by introducing more distribution partners and programs.<\/p>\n<p>Walter will also continue his role as a key driver of the company\u2019s green initiatives. His focus in this post is to create programs leveraging Toshiba\u2019s portfolio of eco-oriented products \u2013 which include the world\u2019s first multifunction product (MFP) with erasable toner, the e-STUDIO\u2122306LP\/RD30 as well as the company\u2019s other EPEAT-registered MFPs \u2013 to better allow Toshiba dealers and customers to operate more sustainably. EPEAT is the definitive global rating system for greener electronics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor nearly a decade, Tom has established and maintained outstanding relationships on both the vendor and dealer side to successfully manage Toshiba\u2019s aftermarket product and service programs,\u201d said Toshiba America Business Solutions, President and Chief Executive Officer, Scott Maccabe. \u201cWithin his expanded role, we expect him to continue that success while creating additional programs to further bolster our thermal barcode printer and toner revenue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining Toshiba in 2005 as the company\u2019s director, aftermarket sales, marketing and operations, Walter served in management positions at Parts Now, Panasonic and Canon USA, Inc.
