Fisher’s Technology, a Boise-based technology solutions company with roots dating back to 1936, is celebrating its 90th anniversary this month—marking nine decades of continuous growth, reinvention, and customer-focused innovation across the Intermountain West.
Founded as a single-location office equipment business in downtown Boise, Fisher’s has evolved alongside the modern workplace, expanding from typewriters to document systems, and ultimately into a full-scale technology services company. Today, Fisher’s Technology employs more than 200 people across 15 offices in Idaho, Utah, Montana, and Washington, a dramatic increase from one location and roughly 40 employees in 2010.
That growth includes multiple strategic acquisitions over the past decade, expansion into IT services, managed print, workflow automation, and security technologies—while remaining locally owned and deeply rooted in the communities it serves.

• 1936 – Founded in Boise as Fisher’s Office Equipment
• 1985 – Acquired by Gary and Kathy Mahn, setting the stage for long-term local ownership

• 2010–2013 – Leadership transition and launch of IT services
• 2017–2025 – Expansion through acquisitions into Montana, Washington, and Utah

While Fisher’s growth has been significant, leadership emphasizes that culture—not scale, is the company’s defining feature.

Celebrating the Past, Launching the Future
Fisher’s Technology will mark its 90th anniversary on February 21, 2026, by bringing employees from all four states to Boise for an all-company celebration and annual meeting. The event will honor the company’s history while kicking off the next phase of growth, innovation, and opportunity.
“Having our entire team together in the city where Fisher’s began is incredibly meaningful,” said Taylor. “This celebration is about gratitude for our customers, our communities, and especially our employees, and excitement for what comes next.”
