IT Glue Unveils Several New Features at GlueCon 2018, including GlueFiles, IT Glue Academy and Office 365 Integration

Phoenix (Sept. 18, 2018) – IT Glue, the world’s fastest-growing documentation platform, announced several new features and integrations on day two of GlueCon 2018, the company’s inaugural user conference that has brought the channel’s most innovative thinkers together.

Held Sept. 17-18 in Phoenix, the day’s first keynote by Luis Giraldo, VP, Product at IT Glue, unveiled three of the most voted-for features in the company’s suggestion portal – GlueFiles, Flags, and a long-awaited integration with Office 365 – as well as Network Monitoring and Management integrations with Auvik and Cisco Meraki, and a new Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) integration with Syncro. Director of Partner Success, Tom Sopwith, joined Giraldo on stage to announce the launch of IT Glue Academy, a self-paced online learning platform with an option to become an IT Glue Certified Professional.

“All new features are designed to empower our MSP partners to streamline business processes and enhance efficiency and productivity like never before,” said Giraldo. “Automation is essential for business efficiency, and integrations are a key component for businesses looking to connect systems and information efficiently. These new RMM integrations allow for automation of tedious and repetitive business processes and enable secure sharing of data across numerous applications.”

The new GlueFiles feature reduces busy work and enhances efficiency by providing users with the ability to upload, store, access and preview files within IT Glue. File preview, part of GlueFiles, allows users to view any file in IT Glue by simply hovering over search queries versus having to open the files directly. This results in a major shortcut for viewing information, significantly enhancing efficiency and productivity. During GlueX, the development team is building the other part of GlueFiles live – the ability to upload and store any files within IT Glue.

The Flags feature highlights and contextualizes documents that require more attention by adding flags to documents in IT Glue that alert users to required action, prioritization and tracking. The Flags feature significantly increases productivity, minimizes errors and enhances accountability by bringing to light incomplete, outdated and redundant documents that may require further action.

Finally, IT Glue announced an API contest for enterprise partners to submit their unique scripts and/or integrations using the IT Glue REST API. Each submission is judged by IT Glue’s API review team. All approved scripts and integrations will be added to its GitHub, and the partner with the winning submission will be awarded a $5,000 credit to IT Glue, as well as a feature promotion on the company’s website. A $1,000 and $500 Amazon Gift Card will be awarded to second and third place, respectively. Sign up to be alerted to details.
